Family Resource Center

In March of 2009, Lakes Region Community Services opened the Family Resource Center of Central New Hampshire (FRC-CNH). The FRC-CNH became the home for new and existing services for children and families in the Greater Lakes Region. The FRC-CNH has become a vibrant, active center, and has quickly grown to be an important resource in the community with an increasing number of community partners referring families to our programs.

The mission of the Family Resource Center of Central NH (FRC-CNH) is to strengthen families and thereby strengthen the communities in which they live by enhancing their social connections and by providing support, services, and resources utilizing family support principles.

Supports include the Giggles and Grins playgroup; parent education and support; early childhood initiatives such as Born Learning, Watch Me Grow, and school readiness; Early Supports and Services; the Autism Center; Step Ahead, a home visiting program; information and referral services to community supports; and childcare resource and referral services.

Welcome Baby!

Do you have a newborn in your family? If so, your community would like to celebrate with you!

If you have a newborn under the age of three months, live within Belmont, Gilford, Laconia or Meredith, and would like to receive a one-time visit, please fill out this enrollment form and return it to the Family Resource Center (FRC). A pair of Welcome Baby! volunteers will arrange a visit to your home and present you with a beautiful tote filled with gifts, valuable parenting information, home safety items, books to promote literacy, and a community resource directory. Families can also choose to visit the FRC to pick up their totes. If you have questions or know of another family who might benefit from a Welcome Baby! visit, please contact Tricia Murphy at 581-1560 or triciam@lrcs.org.
